Carolpa is the expert on this!

Using a BLC is actually a great workaround for the BS9000 N.RADIO/N.MUSIC older software software problem. It will makes those sources individually accessable.

      See for example https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/making-bs9000-cd-source-accessible-with-beolink-converter-nl-ml-blc-2/

        Good afternoon all,

In the meantime I tried another solution to extend the possibilities.

Especially for the Beoliving app/BLGW to make the playing source visible and only show those sources in the app.

        I tried this:

        • BS9000 ML >  BLC > NL (as A. Master or V. Master)
        • BV7-55 ML > BLC > NL (as V. Master of A.Master)
        • Beosound Essence MKII > NL (the start of this all)

Of course the BV6-26’s could not see or control the BS9000 nor the BV7 sources anymore, as both are still in the old ML chain.

Would connecting a seperate BLC per BV6 as A.Slave be the solution for this?

But also between BS9000 and BV7-55 it did not work like a charm. For example the sources from BV7 stayed visible as actual source visible playing in Beoliving (“DTV is playing on BLV BV7-55”) , even if I switched to Deezer and was actually playing Deezer. Switching sources on joined product freezed up the app, etc, etc.

Anyone ideas for a better solution?

        Best regards,

        Peter

All solved now. Thank you so much for your feedback!

My first and second try was only one way (all ML > BLC > NL) or the other way (only BS9000 ML > BLC > NL). This step is the both ways and that did the trick.

Now all works as I like it to be and as it should be for regular users like my family members. I could even source the BS9000 Radio source to N.RADIO (just for fun).

I was aware of the N.RADIO/N.MUSIC sw problem. But if the BS9000 is out of the ML chain as Audiomaster, like it is now, all BV’s are new enough to work around that. Also the chips with later sw is only for sale for the BS9000 MKIII as far as I am aware of.

Also interesting to know, the IR mapping of each BLC is only for the BLC itself. As I am not using the IR eye, those settings are obsolute untill you attach an IR eye.

Those BLC’s are pretty nice devices once you get them to know. Will try find some extra ones. Especially for linking a future BLI to the BLGW, but maybe also to make all current sources visible as networklink sources in the ML devices in the BeoLiving app.

          Thank you again.

          Kind regards, Peter

Tried to attach to Win10 DLNA also.

In the BEO App all worked liked expected. Music files are visible, playing, etc, etc.

But, as I am using a BLGW, in the BEO Living IOS app the resource name is visible, but no files are listed.

            Any ideas?
