It is definitely worth trying something I picked up on one of the Bang and Olufsen forums (probably here) which worked for my white BeoGram 5500 before going down the capacitor route like I did (bought the one in the link) but luckily didn’t need to have. Just cleaning the CD lens, only took a few minutes then my white Beogram CD5500 sprung back into life.

Any further details you can supply of the ‘simple’ change would be most appreciated for the non-electronic electorate amongst us, video, images would be fantastic
