I agree wşth Geoff on the super tight focus however due to I guess physical constraints the narrow mode takes away too much subtle high frequency timbre and detail.
However saying that it works amazingly on vocal and piano I find. To add I think the fluid sweet spot function is uncanny and a real innovation.
I love my Beolab 8s, and if I find the narrow mode taking away timbre I decide to change my listening position to near field which goes a long way I find.
I could upgrade perhaps to the BL 50s but my listening space is not large enıugh to warrant the step up…
