    For me pressing down on one end of the turntable makes the other end come up, so that I can grab it. Also I have the same Beogram 2000 5821 and I have troubles with the tone arms up and down movement. Does yours move freely up and down when playing? Could you send me a video of the tonearm mechanism? Specifically the „black box“ which holds the end of the tone arm? Thanks in advance

    I finally got the platter off. The trick is to drop it on the side from about 6 inches 🤣.

    So the platter is held on by 3 small pieces of double sided tape. Once it’s off you can access all the screws to gain access to the mechanism.

    I wouldn’t recommend dropping it, I did it by accident but at least it solved the problem.

    Thanks for your reply. At the moment the tape deck and radio are out of the unit so I can’t do any videos but I do have issues with the height of the tone arm and it skating across records.  I suspect the small screw next to the pivot may be there for adjustment but until I can get the whole top cover off I can’t be certain.
