    Thanks!

Tried the USB keyboard with no luck. There are three USB ports–does it matter which one is used?

Not ready to try the short circuit wakeup…afraid to short the wrong thing!

I also tried to pair the remote after plugging in the mains. I heard that in the absence of a paired remote, the BV Avant NG will immediately enter pairing mode. No luck ☹

    Thanks Beotex,

No, it doesn’t connect to the app nor the router (via ethernet).

I’ve tried something new:  Changing the Video Option using IR, but no response.

    Any other ideas?

    Hello,

Still looking for some help with this.

    Any ideas?

I’m hours away from a B&O service location, so hoping I can do something myself.

    Thanks!

    Thank you, Beouser 19!

That is a big difference. I haven’t tried anything yet and looks like I shouldn’t.

Is the stand from an Avant NG compatible with either BV10 or BV11?

    Hi Graham,

    But it shouldn’t do that… 🤔

    Thank you!

I think this is exactly what I needed:

    • Finally got it updated off of USB.

    I have NetRadio!

    😁

But…something isn’t right. Starting the BV11 with NetRadio results in it giving an “EMPTY” error. Even selecting a Favourite doesn’t work unless I pick another source and come back to NetRadio.

It works fine if I turn the BV11 on within 15 seconds of the screen turning off–it starts playing the last radio station. Turning on the BV11 longer than about 15 seconds after the screen turns off leads to no radio and the “EMPTY” error.

    Any ideas?

Factory reseting the BV11 didn’t work.

What if the red LED just blinks slowly?

    1. Screen never turns on.

    2. Speaker never descends.

    3. Doesn’t connect to the B&O App nor the router.

    4. No option to enter the PIN.

I have tried other IR remotes with no luck–no response. The BeoRemote One which was paired with the Avant NG seems to be working, but I can’t confirm, but no reaction to it.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

Did you ever get this fixed?

    Thank you!

I know to be careful which is why I asked!

Is the numbering in the schematic the same as my numbering? I know there must be a convention, but I don’t know it.

Out of curiosity, is the Avant wired the same as a BV11?

    Thanks again!

    Thanks Patcherley!

I remember just searching for “Amazon” and the PUC popped up.

This new-to-me BV11 really just needs a software update which could be done off of a USB thumbdrive, but I can’t get the software. I hope I’m not wrong in thinking that the software update would revive access to downloading PUC codes and NetRadio.

Response ftom B&O Support (after escalation to the trchnical department):  “Thank you for your patience while waiting for a response from our technical department. We have received a reply from them and please allow us to continue to assist you with the best we can.

Kindly be informed that since the Amazon Firestick is not IR-controlled, it is not compatible with the B&O remote and PUC files.”

My question about a software update was ignored/overlooked, as was a question about other PUC codes, plus this answer is garbage as I use PUC codes to control Firesticks (via a Flirc) on three other Beovisions using my Beo4.

I waited (wasted) five days for this?

Anyone with suggestions about how to escalate my support escalation and resolve my issues? Updates/PUC codes via USB are an option but not if I can’t get the software!

Disgusted with B&O Support right now.

    Thank you!

NetRadio and being able download PUC codes would be very useful. I’m sure there is more as my version is from 2015.

    • Hi Millemissen,

    Thanks!

I don’t have that app, but I can find the software version in the advanced service menu as well as the B&O app and it is: 1.0.8.36666

It woefully needs an update, but how?

Above I mentioned trying to force the update through the B&O app, and I found the menu to do it but I had no luck as in my screenshot–the app thinks it is up to date 🙄

    Other thoughts?

Still waiting for a response to my escalated case.

    G.

P.S. I need to figure out my BeoRemote One…I’ve had it for years but still use my Beo4 🙄

    Thank you, Hiort!

Through the app, I can link internet radio, I also have an Edge and a NL/ML Converter so I have options. I also use a Firestick (which is one of the PUC codes I need). As I am writing this, I’m wondering if I can force an update through the app. Need to check later.

I like pressing one button on my Beo4 and being able to hear my netradio.

Still need to update software, get PUC codes, et cetera.

Still waiting for a response to my escalation 🤞

    Thanks again, Madskp!

My support request was reportedly escalated a couple of days ago, so waiting.

I remember seeing a page with PUC tables years ago (when the BV11 couldn’t find them). I can’t find that page which would give the possibility to update via USB.

If B&O stopped hosting, the software, who has it (besides potentially B&O support who did not give it to me when I initially said I had a problem updating)?

    Hi Madskp,

    Thanks for the response.

    Time is good 😀

I can’t seem to find is where to download the software updates or PUC tables.

In this first link, “Beovision 11 with Beo4
Guides, manuals & software” there are Getting Started, User Guides and Additional Information, but no software downloads:

    https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041518852-Beovision-11-with-Beo4

In this second link, when I click on the gold box with “User guides and software updates
You can download the user guides for Beovision 11 and the Software Updater for Mac and PC right here” there is no link and nothing in the box does anything:  https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/sections/360011761631-Beovision-11#

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Gene

P.S. Can’t find where to download PUC tables either 😖

Could it be a hardware issue then on the BV11’s?

    Hi,

NetRadio works/worked fine on two other BV11 MK1’s and on an Avant I have.

Still haven’t figured this out. Could it have been an option? Could it have been superceded by aerial/cable/satellite Radio?

The BV11 connecting to the internet but not B&O seems important (no PUC downloads or ability to check for updates).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    G.
