Just an example of the Philips light bulbs I’ve found out works with my LC2’s (and actually also with my B&O compatible Unotech Unodim).

I believe warmglow is Philips take on led bulbs with a variable Kelvin temperature from 2,200-2,700 meaning that you get a more yellowish light that mimics the classic light bulb when you dim down and a more white light when you dim up. I think it works quite well but each to his own taste.

And yes, they do dim correctly so it’s not just on/off, but you may have to dim up a bit more than with a traditional bulb, especially when you start it. When on the lowest dimming it’s not always enough to light up the bulb. BTW if someone could explain how you program the LC2 to on/off mode that would be very interesting to me.

@Corolpa You are – of course – right. However, I already have the LC’s (and spare oldfashioned bulbs). The problem there is the power consumption and the fact that, if – and when – I move to a Theatre setup from my current, beloved livingroom Avant 1st gen setup, I will have to make the move from ir to bt as well.

Actually  I’ve found out that my LC2 works quite well with Philips warm glow bulbs even though these bulbs are led. Perhaps it could be worth a not very expensive try? It won’t solve the problem with the upcoming BT remote though.
