GOLD MemberHas anyone had luck with a Mozart product working with the Beolink Convertor? I easily play Beosound 9000 and Beosound 5 sources on all my pre-network link products (Beosound 1, Beosound Core, A5, M5, A9 4th Gen) via the Beolink Convertor. B&O has only registered receipt of my requests, but so far software updates do not address it.
My B&O Icons:21 April 2025 at 10:01 #65208GOLD MemberIt seems that they are not interested – quite a lot of users have asked that question.
Only way is to start the source (e.g. the CD) manually or with the Beo4/the BROne in ir-mode and then โJoin inโ from the Mozart product.
I do this with my 6500 Master/CD (and the Converter) on my Theatreโฆ..it works.
You get used to itโฆโฆbut it is unfortunately not โthe real thingโ.

Hi MM,
I do understand your reply (and have used this workaround alot). but having the Beoliving Intelligence, I’m still in the impression they work on it. Even “new commands”ย with “Beoconnect encore” are shown there. But is evolves ectremely slow.
That said, I can start any ML source connected to a BLC on all my NL and Mozart devices using Beoliving Intelligence, directly!
Addition:
One can start a ML source connected to a BLC in the B&o app by selecting 1) the BLC and 2) the source. Then extend this to a NL/Mozart product.-

21 April 2025 at 21:19 #65268GOLD MemberSure, that is a solutionโฆ.if you already have – and have the need for – a BLI.
But for this purpose only, the BLI is an expensive extra.
You are right (of course) about starting the source via the app that way.
The reason that I did not think of it is, that I always press play on my 6500-CD and then Join on the BROne/Theatreโฆ.that has become a habit.P.S.
Let us hope that they โwork on itโ – it seems though, that they prioritize other things, when it comes to the regular app.MM

GOLD MemberMM! Thank you for the suggestion. I just used my Halo to join the Level to my Beosound 9000 CD playing through my Beosound 1. It worked! So while the B&O app won’t do it, this did. Thank you for suggesting that! Now I really have to connect up my ML/NL delay box to get rid of the damn echo, since I have Pentas in the room connected to my MCL2AV.
Thanks,
-Gregg

BRONZE MemberI have a question about it working in the other direction – sending Mozart sources to ML. At one time, I was able to play my turntable connected to my Balances and then also listen on my BS5 in another room. I even went so far as to program the ML selection on my BeoRemote One to say “Office-LP” (as the turntable and Balances are in my office). This no longer seems to work. In fact, the Balance -> “Line In” option has disappeared from the BLC configuration screen.ย So it seems B&O giveth and also taketh away.
What are my option?ย If I connect the TT to the BLC (no speakers), can I easily send the audio to both my Balances and my BS5? I say easily because I’d rather not have to fiddle to get the TT playing on my Balances as this is my most common way to listen to the TT.ย It it takes a bit to get the audio to the BS5, that’s not ideal, but I can probably live with it.
What of this BeoLiving that Carolpa mentions? I do have a Halo, but have no need for home automation.. and I always thought that was the point of BeoLiving.ย However, if it can make my audio system more capable (and doesn’t require me to hire someone to program it).
Thoughts?

GOLD MemberDid you assign the turntable to an unused Masterlink source like CD? The Beolink convertor NL/ML Installation Guide walks through how to do that. I was not able to do this because I have a BS9000 integrated with my BS5, which takes up all of the Masterlink Audio sources. That setup also prevents me from using the USB A AUX input on the Beomaster 5. My implementation involved hooking up a Core to a BS9500 which then has a special crossover cable going to the A AUX input on the BS9000. That is also how I listen to my BG9500 TT.
The only think I can think of in your case is to connect the TT to the Beomaster 5 USB Audio input. This was really meant to provide a Bluetooth music input, but could be used here. There are USB to DIN adapters available. Hooking up the A AUX on the BS5 is discussed on page 23 of BS5 guide.
I have a Beolink Gateway (BLGW) (which looks identical to a Beolink Converter) which provides control of the Masterlink system using the Beolink 2 app on my Iphone, along with home automation. I very much like the Beolink 2 app. Programming the BLGW is challenging. The Beoliving Intelligence (BLI) is the current successor to the BLGW. I got one at a going out of business B&O dealer, but have yet to fool with it.
