BRONZE MemberHello BeoWorld-Forum,
iยดm following this forum since a few months because of me wanting to buy a pair of BeoLab 8000 speakers. Which worked very well. Done all the cleaning and revising thing to it.
To power these speakers I’ve chosen the Wiim Ultra and I have to say it really works great. Room correction has done a lot to it and the speakers sounds much better than on two other streamers I’ve tested. Now my question: on line out I got several options (see screenshot) to change the power output.
2 Vrms is the highest option and I have to say it sounds by far the best. 1 Vrms sounds really dull and powerless.
But is it save or is it too much “power” for the active BeoLab 8000 ? I couldn’t find any number value on any technical sheet or in the internet.
But only an information that some B&O Systems habe around 6-8 Vrms but not sure if they are using passive speakers ?Thank you in advance!
