Just back home after picking up my Beomaster 4401, Beovox M100.2s and Moment from Multicare. I was very fortunate to have a guided tour from Mark and met Dipesh. Their warehouse is packed with memories – lots of the older equipment, some in perfect condition and quite a lot having clearly had a hard life but clearly Multicare find it difficult to part with! We (my good friend John had come with me to help carry the speakers!) then went into the workshop. This was very impressive with many Beograms being restored including, much to my surprise the original BG4000s – these are not converted into the 4000c but are fully serviced and improved and new parts manufactured to replace parts beyond repair. I am planning to get the 4000 of mine done having found that out. I think we are immensely lucky to have such a skilled team available to restore old equipment back to working condition and they seem ready to have a go at just about anything – I did notice a Beocord 5000 (the old one) awaiting repair – the one device that my old repairers point blank refused to have anything to do with!

I dropped a few bits of the remnants of my collection down – I have lent them the Beogram 3000 Thorens for the minute – I still think this is the best sounding Beogram – needs a proper wall mounted shelf but once done the bass is the best I have ever heard from a turntable. Thanks to Frede for that one! I have also donated a few goodies that may see their way to becoming prizes.

I was very kindly given a roll of the tape needed for the Beocenter 9500 glass panels – will give me something to play with.  Also tempted me with some speakers – will need to break that to my wife !

Looking at the quality of work being done and the results of what they have done for me (They remanufactured a circuit board for the 4401) I can only heartily recommend their services to all Beoworld members – I did note that they has received a turntable for refurbishment from Australia!

        Thank you, Peter!

It was a pleasure meeting and showing you around the Multicare workshop.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the tour – it’s always special for us to share our passion for restoring these classic Bang & Olufsen pieces. There’s a lot of history in that warehouse, and it’s true that even the well-worn pieces find a way to stick around! I’m glad you were impressed by the work we’re doing; bringing those original BG4000s back to life is a real labour of love, and knowing you’re considering it for your own Beogram means a lot to us.

It was wonderful of you to lend us the Beogram 3000 Thorens – it’s a real gem. Your donation of extra goodies will be put to good use, and who knows, they might just become prizes that make another enthusiast’s day.

Thank you for your kind words and your recommendation to Beoworld members. We’re grateful to be part of this community and to have the opportunity to work on such unique pieces for people like you. It’s a joy to keep these machines playing beautifully for many years to come!  Reproducing some of the PCBs has become necessary with some of the classic products, we have managed to create LED kits for the BeoGram 4000, 4002, 4004 & 6000.
As you mentioned we recreated the control panel flex PCB for your BeoMaster 4401 and more recently we reproduced a PCB for the BeoMaster Terminal which was draining the battery.

        All the best,
        Mark
