Theatre in a 5.0 setup

Hello Beoworlders,

My setup is composed of a Beovision Theatre with BL 50s as front and BL 8000s as rear speakers.

I plan to reset my 50s, then create new presets and room compensation filters.

Once done, I want to review the Theatre’s listening positions.

So, as recommended by the technical sound guide, I plan to assign the following roles:

Product/Speaker –> Role
BL 50 –> Front
BL 8000 –> Surround
Theatre / L Up –> Front Height
Theatre / L Side ????
Theatre / L Front –> Centre
Theatre / Centre –> Centre
Theatre / R Front –> Centre
Theatre / R Side ????
Theatre / R Up –> Front Height

But what to do with the Theatre’s side firing speakers?

Any idea will be appreciated.

The default set-up is to have them deactivated when you have front L/R-speakers included, like your BL50. I have a 5.0 set-up with BL28 as front L/R and BL8 as surround, and the side-firing speakers in the Theatre are deactivated. I tried to add them in another listening position, but preferred them diactivated.
