Hello. I recently bought a pair of Pentas they are in need of reforming. I am currently considering buying one of theses rubber kits
Are there any difference between theses kits or should I just get whichever one is cheapest? Also how much glue do I need? The kit from Repairyourspeakers comes with 15 ml of glue. Is that enough for all 8 drivers or should I buy one more bottle whiles at it?
Also I saw that Repairyourspeakers sells replacement foam gaskets/rings for 13 € that fit around the mid-range speakers. They claim that they can make quite a difference but I haven’t read about anybody having done it. Are they worth replacing or should I spend the money on something else instead?
29 October 2023 at 18:43 #49919Decided to order from Repairyourspeakers and not buy the replacement foam gaskets since, after looking through this forum, I haven’t found a single person mention them so I guess they can’t really make all that much difference.

I would not recommend replacing the midrange foam surrounds with rubber. This will change the parameters of the drive units. Stick to foam.

In these cases it’s nice to have the possibility to simply replace them.Martin
