BRONZE MemberHi,
I have recently upgraded to a Theatre and LG G5 55 – overall I am delighted with the performance and significant audio upshift – including my existing 4xBL18 and 1xBL-2 sub.
The setup – due to the size and shape of our lounge – has some of the speakers slightly out of their ideal positions. Roomsense has done a great job of setting the system up for the primary listening position (my ears/my spot on my couch) but only really uses the center driver and the upward firing speakers.
However – I would like to have a go at setting up some manual configurations that use more of the theatre’s drivers (and may have a wider listening position for when the family deign to join me on the couch!) – and that throws up some questions / possible irritations.
- Is there any way of storing a stand position WITHOUT having to remove the cover, plug the microphone in and run roomsense? The same comment goes for updating an existing position fractionally.
- Can you run roomsense AFTER you have told the Theatre what speakers you would like to use where – e.g.: I would like to add the other front facing drivers in the theatre to the centre channel – but then would like the system to calculate appropriate room eq / db levels etc. Due to the speaker positions it might be beneficial for the ‘front’ BL18 to be more ‘surround’ and let the Theater take on more of the LCR.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts / tips. Other minor irritations are the lack of picture off, being able to recall other stand positions, to easily access picture modes on the LG (I can do it – but the other members of the couch seem disinclined to press more than one button).
Best
Matt
