YannChrisFOUNDER MemberHello Beoworlders,
Since a few days my BS1 is no more detected by the applications used to cast music.
It seems that a firmaware update occured recently and I suspect a bug.
Am I alone to face this problem?
Kind regards,
Yann.

GOLD MemberDid you check with the B&O app or via IP Adress of the Beosound 1 if Chromecast is enabled after the firmware update? You’ll find it in the B&O app under Settings -> Chromecast.
15 November 2025 at 17:26 #71189 YannChrisFOUNDER MemberHi,
Thanks for your help.
Yes, Chromecast is enabled.
The version number shown in the app is 1.28.102057.
The only (and unchecked) choice is to share the use-datas with Google.
Regards,
Yann.

GOLD MemberBeosound 1 natural software: 6.5.57687.212515568
I enabled Chromecast for testing and did NOT see any software version.
Unchecked “share user data”.
It didn’t show up in the list of Chromecast devices either. After turning the Beosound 1 off and on again, Chromecast came to live and shows the same version number as yours.
Google Cast Version: 1.28.102057And now it works and is shown in the list of Chromecast devices. So please try the simple thing of switching it off and on again. Maybe 2 times as on the first try my Beosound 1 didn’t get back on the Wifi Network.
As I don’t use Chromecast… how to disable it again? 😀 There’s no option in the B&O app or via IP-Adress of Beosound 1.
17 November 2025 at 09:56 #71321 YannChrisFOUNDER MemberHi,
Thank you for the testings you undertook.
The firmware versions of my BS1 and of Google Cast are the same as yours.
I power-cycled the BS and it appeared again in the list of devices. Strange but successful.
According to the B&O support, disabling Chromecast is done by a reset of the speaker (see the “How to activate the built-in Google Cast in my Beosound 1” FAQ).
Kind regards,
Yann.

GOLD MemberGlad it worked.
Factory reset to get rid of Google… that’s the Google way. 😉 Thanks.
