    Hi,

    I have a BM7000 and a MCL2P behind in an other room.

i installed this recently. The Mcl2p doesn’t react when i select Radio on the BM7000.

    it stays red.

when i unplug the powerlink and then replug it, than it goes green.

Is there a relay i can change ? or something else ?

    Thanks for your help

you will need a fully wired powerlink cable to activate the MCL2P. That will most likely be the problem

Thanks, but i have a fully wired powerlink cable.

i tried it with a beolink konverter, and it worked.

The MCL2P is a Link system.

It needs a MUTE AND A “POWER ON” SIGNAL. That are 2 different signals, not only one.

IT will not play on a quite normal cable…

A Beolink converter is always running and has NO POWER ON !

You can build an adapter giving the MCL2P the necessary signal.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I forgot that Mcl2p was a link system !

I have a Mcl2av wich could work with Mcl2p, but when i put on the radio on BM7000,

and click on Mute on the tranceiver, i hear a click in the mcl2p, but light is still red,

when i click a second time, i hear the music a few seconds and then it stops.

    Thanks a lot

The MCL2P expects a Mute and a POWER ON signal.

The standard Powerlink will only have the Mute signal.

If you connect the cable Mute with the MCL2P Mute and Power On, it will switch on and play.

The only thing is: when it switches on or off, then there can be a nasty noise during power up or down. Can be… sometimes not.

And Mute is a little bit slow…

    I don’t undertstand !

when i put the MCL konverter behind the BM7000, it works

when i put the mcl2p behind the BM7000, first it doesn’t work, but if i unpug the powerlink socket on mcl2p and replug it, then it goes green and stays green as long as i don’t unplug it from the mains

    Thanks
