Ok, another dumb question!
Whilst setting up my system I lashed together the BC 2 and the tv, programmed the masterlink system(video -2 audio -0 having gone through audio reset ie audio -1, it all worked!
Tidied up the cabling etc – see photos elsewhere – reprogrammed the system again, tv works fine, but, trying to call up the radio, the head unit indicates it is on and tuned to the appropriate station but the tv carries on with no changeover to the radio/audio .
The interconnection between the head unit and the box appears to be ok as the head unit shows the radio channel, now my question is, is the problem lkely to be in the masterlink connections, I assume control signals pass by that or is it by the scart system?
I have some spare cables which I will look out and try tomorrow, but have any of you out there any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Tony

This sounds a little odd. The signals should be carried by the Masterlink connection, but since your BC2 is reacting to the controls maybe it is not in option 0 after all? Maybe try to isolate the problem by unhooking the scart connection, althoug I would only think that this would be for DVD control signals.

I am also a little confused what you mean by this?
21 November 2024 at 12:56 #61072Thanks for the response, I will try later with the scart, and also another masterlink cable!
Audio reset — I read in the masterlink manual that it is best to commence by aud option 1 then aud opt 0 – I have tried this to no avail hence my other questions!
Thanks

Ok, I understand, and that should be correct. Also one thing you could check is to see if the BC2 is actually in option 0 by disconnecting both scart and Masterlink and see if it reacts to remote commands which it should not do in option 0.
I also have a BC2 and sometimes after disconnecting af reconnecting power to it I might have to do the option settings again. Not sure why, but at least i my case it seems a little stubborn to keep the option settings.
21 November 2024 at 16:01 #61074So just tried it with the masterlink and the scart disconnected. pressing radio the bc2 switches on, and if the tv is working thd BC2 switches on but the tv continues.
Just reprogrameb the BC2 via opt 1 then opt0 it now doesn’t switch on, had to reprog the tv, that now works but when called the radio doesn’t Do I now reconnect the m/link and scart and retry?

Ok sound like the option programming is right for the BC2 then. I think the TV will not react to the radio command if there is a connection problem between the Beovision and the Beocenter. I will suggest that you try with only the Masterlink cable as the scart should only be for DVD functionlity.
21 November 2024 at 19:00 #61081It could be one of the plugs on the masterlink cable I will look more closely tomorrow!
23 November 2024 at 14:49 #61110So, off at a slight tangent, I have the offer of an s video cable, will that remove the need for the scart lead?
Also, with 2 of the bv 10-40 scart sockets ,adjacent to them are s video sockets and PUC sockets, dumb question, if the s video cable replaces the scart lead, would I need to use a PUC with the tv as well(I think not!!)
My BC2 and bv 10-40 manuals are elsewhere so I cannot consult it!
Thanks in advance

Yes you could do that, but you would also need to utilise the audio socket and the CTRL sockets. The manual describes to connect to the corrosponding sockets on the TV. In my opinion the scart cable is a simpler solution where all is in the same cable.
25 November 2024 at 16:13 #61146Ok, got it, thanks, I’ll look at the manual later, currently working on a piece to hold a bv 10-32 at an angle when using a BV 6 / 7 wall mount! See elsewhere on the forum.
29 November 2024 at 13:54 #61226Finally got back to this today, the BV 10-32 is now installed and working perfectly!
I have the BC master connected to the tv using a masterlink, and a scart lead and a connection to the head unit, the head unit power on indicator is continually flashing, I have tried all the plugs etc, I am looking for suggestions as to my problem!
Remounted Beocenter topic acn a moderator delete this post from this tpoic please
