Thes new liquid filled LP’s seem to be a lot heavier than the 180g presses they are putting out now. I have a BEOGRAM 2404, and was wondering if the weight will affect playback? Should these releases just be avoided? Thanks.
They should not be a problem unless your suspension is adjusted low. If you can put 2 normal records on without bottoming you should be fine. In any case, you’ll not damage anything.
As above, it should be absolutely fine. Just be careful with any unduly heavy 7″ records on any Beogram that uses weight for size sensing – you don’t want them thinking they’re a 12″ and dropping the stylus accordingly.
