I got hold of a Lintronic TT455-RT-238 (Hardware veesion 6.1) just out of curiosity really – it was going on eBay for quite a low price, and while I had already saw that Lintronic were no longer trading, they do still have an online presence and you can still get the configurator program for a low license cost.

Their website LinTronic Online is a bit of a dumping ground for documentation though, and it’s not in presented in any organised way, so I have no idea what I’m looking at.  From what I can gather, I can tell the configurator that when I press this button on my B&O remote, I want it to send that signal to a 3rd party IR device – have I understood that right?  Does anyone know if Lintronic are keeping their device list up-to-date, or can the IR eye ‘learn’ new IR codes from a 3rd party remote control?

Is there anything else I should know before I start playing with it?

Im using one currently.  I just got it out of storage. I use mine for Beosystem 3, Beosound 9000,  LG Oled TV, generic DVD player and Amazon Fire TV.

The device list is created by users and is fairly up to date. But, as you say, you can learn an IR remote you have. I needed to learn my DVD remote.

It is a steep learning curve and can also add macros and delays.

I am in France on holiday at the moment but I will send a better reply on my return.

Thanks – as long as I know it can learn new commands, It’ll definitely be useful to me, so I’ll download the configurator and get a licence for it.
