BRONZE MemberHello,
I have been using the Beosound Theatre for over a year now, and it is perfect! I have 2 Beolab 8000 connected to it when I listen to stereo music. I want to have the Theatre work as the bass below 90 Hz. I have tried different settings, but I feel something is missing. It would be appreciated if someone can guide me the right assignment for the theatre to give it the bass duties while the 8000s are the left and right. Many Thanks

ModeratorThere are two ways:
- Create a listening position where your BL8000’s are Left and Right front. Set Centre front-firing to subwoofer. Disable all other channels.
- I assume you already have a Listening Position with all your speakers added. Use this, open the app and long-press your favourite sound mode (e.g. Music). Tap the advanced-tab in the top, and set Processing to Direct instead of Trueimage. Ensure that bass management is enabled.
Save it as a new sound mode, name it Direct (you decide). Now, when your listening position (with all your speakers) is selected and the sound mode Direct is enabled, Left and Right BL8000 will play the incoming stereo signal, but all speakers in the system will help with the bass.
Benefits of doing option 2:
- Sound modes change faster than listening positions
- You only need to create one really good listening position
- You can assign a specific listening position and sound mode to a source (in the app, select your product > sound > sources > source behavior). This way you can automatically set the system correctly when you’re playing e.g. Deezer. (this also applies to option 1, though)
