I have three Beogram turntables and I’ve been having trouble with one of my MMC4s. I wanted to check the tracking force is right, so I bought a tracking force gauge.
the one I bought (here) is no good though – because two of my Beograms are linear and therefore have very little clearance beneath the stylus, this gauge is too bulky to fit beneath those. It works for my Beogram RX-2 as that has a standard arm, but it will not work on my Beogram 3000 or 8500, because they both have the linear arm with the low clearance.
Hard to tell from photographs online which would work best. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a digital one, just anything that would work, and not too expensive! Does anyone have any recommendations?
