BV 10-40 Speaker cover

I bought my 10-40 16 months ago,at the time I tried to obtain a black fabric speaker panel without success, I put up with it.

Before Xmas I saw on Ebay a chinese outfit advertising black grill fabric for about 8 € for a piece 1200 x 500mm. I bought a piece, and then last week was in my local stationery outlet looking for printer paper, came across a double sided tape on sale supposedly ‘high strength’, I bought a roll ever sceptical though!

At the weekend I took off the grill panel, had a look at it and thought the double sided tape would stick to the original cover on the rear, my thought being if it didn’t/doesn’t work it would be easily removed.

Took the fabric and laid it flat, placed the grill on it face down, applied some tape to one edge, and folded over the fabric, worked my way round the grill checkig for creases etc eventually to finish it off, carefully cut off the excess fabric and ys it looked fine.

Remoumted the panel, brilliant, well pleased with the result, and the new cover should be easily removed.

I realise this is not a proper solution, but it works for me!.
