Is it me?
Current product is the Halo. Wireless charging on their slimline charger.
Except. it has been discontinued! No longer available.
Why would they do that? To a current model? Their response is “go and buy a cheap China piece of junk instead?”
B&O do seriously weird things?
I don’t know how much longer I can support this brand? I am not connecting with them anymore?
15 June 2024 at 19:19 #56520It – indeed – is weird!
However, which brand would you ‘support’ instead – who could you be ‘connecting to’, if not to B&O?

15 June 2024 at 19:22 #56521I have the Halo and the B&O charging pad. I was never impressed with it and I no longer use it to charge the Halo. It seemed very difficult to charge the Halo to 100% on it and that’s if the light on the pad stayed solid. It wasn’t unusual for it to start blinking indicating some problem. I actually have better results charging the Halo on the Beosound A5.
I bought the Halo/charger for a friend and her experiences have been similar.
I wish I used the Halo more…
16 June 2024 at 16:49 #56532B&O probably figured out that no one was buying their £100 Qi charger and buying the £15 version on Amazon.
I have two £15 ones from Amazon and they look as near to the B&O one that I could find. I used them for my iPhone and the Halo. Both work on the iPhone but only one can charge the Halo. I’m thinking that the Halo is very marginal in terms of wireless charging design to be practical?
16 June 2024 at 17:01 #56533Well if that is so isn’t it just another example of how B&O are getting things so wrong?
15 quid Amazon chargers work but 100 quid B&O ones do not?
B&O today only survive on build quality and design? Technically they are lost? Way behind the leaders.
I don’t think that is a recipe for survival in 2024, 25, 26?
I had already reached the point where I was questioning the sense in buying any more of these problematical products. But I got so p11sed with the B&O app that I blew 700 quid on an Halo just to rid myself of the day to day use of the app trying to turn on a radio station! But even that has issues?
20 June 2024 at 11:06 #56622I use a B&O wireless charger to charge my phone at night.
Best wireless charger I have ever used, clearly I am not one of the many who finds that.
Surprised they have cancelled it..that it is odd.
