Hello!
I have got a Beovision 7-40 TV, type number 9351. I have understood that this is a Mark I model
It has got no picture at all. Sound comes OK regardless what is the source. I have also noticed that the back light of the LCD panel comes on OK
So, first impression I have got is that it has got a defective LCD panel
What do You think is this TV worth trying to change the panel? It surely seems so, at least when I made some searching on the internet, that this Samsung panel type the TV has got is obsolete, discontinued, not available,…
I would be appreciated also if someone has got some information where to get a new LCD panel on this kind. And also if there is a known type failure other than defective panel which causes this kind of a symptom

5 September 2024 at 07:26 #58872Hello joupar, I do also think that a repair is the most elegant way, but if you cannot find the issue or a replacement panel, you could maybe find a fully working MkI for little money. It will depend a bit where you live I reckon. Also that panel will be old, so it is a chance, but it could be a cheap way to get a working TV (for now) again. Also a good chance to get an extra Beo4, a higher/lower/wall stand, another BeoLab 7. Here in the Netherlands they come very cheap as they are heavy and people want them to be picked up. Just an idea! Regards, Johan

Thank You Tignum. That would surely be a very feasible way to proceed. Perhaps I start to look around, if there should be one in the neighborhood here. Within the range where I can go with my own car and with a friend to help carry…
I have as a hobby to fix electronic devices. I got this Beovision 7-40 as a freebie from a lady with whom it had sat years without any use. And I think I now know why it was so…
