    dear knowledge base

    i recently acquired a Beovision 10-40 and separately a beo4 remote.

i powered up the set and was able to use with my Apple TV via hdmi.

the sound and picture were good apart from too much red that I tried to adjust in the service menu. Having done that I returned to DTV but there was no longer the feed from Apple TV. I read that turning off the internal TV tuner can force the DTV to work and so tried this but to no avail. I then also turned off the digital tuner. At this point my tv appeared to be stuck in Camera mode and became unresponsive to the remote. In an effort to ‘reset’ I unplugged the set from the wall, waited a while and then re plugged it. Now the tv turns on and the red LED illuminates but it is unresponsive to any buttons on the remote. Does anyone have any idea how I can overcome this?

since the first turning on/off I have left it unplugged all night but today I have the same issue. I would be enormously grateful for any help. Thank you!

Not sure… But seems like your ‘playing around’ in the service menu disabled both the TV and D(digital)TV tuner/function and if no sources for V.MEM or DVD is defined those buttons on the Beo4 remote won’t turn it on either. Add ‘camera’ to the LIST function of the Beo4 remote if it isn’t there already and press GO. I think that will turn on the TV and select the analogue RCA/Camera source.

Ravsted your logic has saved me, and my tv. It’s up and running with the colour looking a lot better now too. Extremely grateful that you took the time to diagnose the issue, thank you!
