    Sorry Steveโ€ฆ..
โ€ฆ..this reminds me too much of the โ€˜solutionsโ€™ that Peter Pan used to produce ๐Ÿ‘ป

A Speaker 4 solution may be nice, but does not come close to a genuine 5 channel solution.
The loss of a real center channel might not be that noticeable because of the relativly small distance of the R/L channels (phantom centerโ€ฆ.if you sit right in front of the unit), but it is not โ€˜the real thingโ€™!

Adding a set of (delayed) right/left channel speakers to the Stage does not give you any real surround (or rear) channels.

No wonder B&O wonโ€™t stand up for these workaround solutions!

To me it is either a BS Theatre (with added speakers) or the BS Stage on its ownโ€ฆ..at least untill B&O (maybe) rebuilts the Stage and adds processing for surround channels using the Digital Powerlink/Beolink Surround feature with it.

    Hi MM,

Thanks for your reply.ย  Yes, I agree that “double stereo” or adding a subwoofer to the Stage isn’t a perfect full surround sound system (although this is achievable by using an AV receiver).ย  However, this is such a popular request that I thought there should be a sensibly priced solution for this (as the Almando SoundCenter Surround has variable results, limited technical support and cost โ‚ฌ1,400).

By offering this, I also hope to demonstrate to B&O that they have limited the performance of the Stage by not considering the addition of extra speakers, hopefully this will have a positive impact on their development for future products?

Beosound Theatre is the perfect way to get high quality surround sound in your home.ย  However, if you already have the Stage and you want to make it sound even better without spending thousands of Euros/pounds/dollars, maybe this could be the answer…

    Kind regards, Steve.

I would tend to agree, this solution sounds like a hot audio mess. But we appreciate the suggestion Steve ๐Ÿ™‚
