28 February 2025 at 16:12 #64210 BRONZE Member BRONZE MemberHello, I have several Beosound Ouvertures to fix and one of them doesn’t power up. I suspect that a fuse is blown up but I can’t find it on the transformer-PCB 15. When putting the power on I hear a little hum, barely audible. I have looked at the service manual, but I can’t find any fuse. Any suggestions how to find the fuses or where to look?
Jan.1 March 2025 at 03:36 #64228 GOLD Member GOLD MemberThere are I believe 3 fuses, but they don’t look like fuses. more like capacitors, they are soldered on. Maybe check out a service manual or check the printed text on the pcb’s Location: Netherlands 1 March 2025 at 17:14 #64244 BRONZE Member BRONZE MemberThank you, Then I have to dig in further and measure if one of them is broken. 1 March 2025 at 22:09 #64254 GOLD Member GOLD MemberWhen you look on dk-soundparts.com and look for ‘fuse’ you will see how they look like. When you remove the plastic back, on the left you will see the soldered side of the fuses. Mine had five of them. The PCB is silkscreened F1 through F5. When you look from the side, you can see they look more like cans, as previously mentioned. Mine were brown, about a 1/4″ high (~6.35 mm). It was easy to test them from the back. Hope this helps.
