Dear members
I’m delighted to be a member here and get some advice on my products.
My latest purchase is a Mk3 BeoSound 9000 white LE.
My question is regarding the serial number and edition number. I. Puzzled as I would have tonight they’d match but the dealer told me they don’t.
it seems a big coincidence to me that one is xxx19 and the other xxx18, but maybe I’m thinking too much! Pictures below.
The unit doesn’t come with any paperwork so I’m in the dark as to the background but the dealer tells me it has been serviced and has a new laser. He is providing a 12 month warrnty and has a very good reputation, it would seem, so I went for it as the price was good and condition is excellent.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe it is as simple as the serial number starting index from zero and the edition number starting index from one.

14 June 2024 at 06:53 #56475I have a white 9000 so I will check these numbers but it will be at least a month before I see it again .
20 June 2024 at 23:07 #56637Your numbers seem strange. Sorry my item number is 1250017 and serial starts with 2201. I have number 70x
I checked mine at my dealer when I bought it of someone.
do you have the red button on top? A bit onreal but I bought another one it is coming tomorrow I will look again to verify. This unit should be ok as I checked it again with my dealer and bought it of Catawiki.

19 August 2024 at 11:00 #58445I finally got back to my BS9000 and 35 c- hot !
I can explain your numbers. Look at the photo The first two sets of numbers are identical, so it was a coincidence that you had 19 and 18.
Hope this helps you sleep better 🙂
