Hello, B & O community, I am in need of some help/advice.
My Beosound 9000 MK2 is having issues playing CD.
Symptom: it moves to the correct CD but the CD does not spin. It looks like it is trying to spin the CD but gives up eventually. and displays “pause” after a couple tries. This is the same for all 6 CD slots.please see the video here =>

I have tried cleaning the two sensors with alcohol.
I have also tried cleaning the lens with a q-tip.
Next thing I could try is replacing the lens itself by disassembling it but I do need to purchase a remote first as I need to put this into test mode. Also I have heard that there could be two different types of lasers for the mk2 unit for Beosound 9000. Does anybody know where I can get the correct laser part?
do i need a whole set of CD mechanism? not just the lens maybe?
My type number is 2563. made in 2000
This is the part I found so far but unsure if it is compatible with my type. https://www.ebay.com/itm/280909514942?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20220705100511%26meid%3D08bea75b676c45a9aef1231e62eecd66%26pid%3D101524%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D280909514942%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2380057.c101524.m146925&_trkparms=pageci%3Ad966185f-7e7a-11ed-981e-26b27da06343%7Cparentrq%3A230a63c81850acf0c96f38ebfffe7662%7Ciid%3A1My
thanks in advance!22 March 2024 at 15:23 #41619Hi @LPCOLLECT.
I am having the same issue here with a BS9000 type 2561, I believe that’s a Mark II.
Did you find any solution solving your issue?
22 March 2024 at 15:54 #41620clean the sensors – top and bottom of the CD rack
otherwise usually indicates a laser issue – might need replacing?
