Hi everyone,
Today I found à Gold Beosound 1*, seems to be the first model, for a very good price (300€).
Of course it had his own issue, namely the top pad is detached from the enclosure and the two ribbon cables are disconnected.
The connectors on the PCB looks damaged too.Anyway the speaker still works in BT and Airplay and sounds quite good to my ears.
Setup was quite easy even if I struggle to keep connection with the B&O App.I’d like to know if there is any other way to check the battery level since I’ve no visual indicator.
And also the battery health maybe?Thank you for the help.
*Beosound 1, even more in gold, was my first crush for a B&O modern speaker when I entered the B&O world…

The battery is dead. After like 8 hours plugged to mains, the unit turns off as soon as it is unplugged.
In the meantime I learned that the battery status can be checked in the app,
but the unit doesn’t provide consistent communication with it so, impossible to tell.Location: Paris France18 June 2025 at 19:53 #66516GOLD MemberI feel a repair thread coming 😁. Nice find Matador, I could see one in my collection one day too!
Best of luck, Johan
