BRONZE MemberI’ve recently observed some strange behavior with my beoremote one paired to my 1st gen Eclipse. After it has been idle for a while (like all day), when I first pick it up at night, it seems dead. I press some buttons, and I see the “bang and olufsen” logo like it is booting up. After a few seconds, it operates normally.
I don’t think it’s the batteries because I recently changed them, and usually, I get a low battery warning when the batteries are low… and it also works fine for the few hours I watch it.
I’ve searched the menus and the internet and don’t see anything about this.
Anyone else observed this?

There was a point in time when the BR1-BT firmware was using up batteries very very fast. **Maybe** a temp fix was issued to halt the bug, a “blunt instrument” of sleeping after a time. Then future firmware fixed the problem properly. Maybe you got the remote brand-new at that quick-fix moment? “Repair” would be: Force update the firmware at your dealer. Supposedly your TV will push updates to the remote, but I never understood under what conditions, and besides my TV has no Internet, so I would ask a dealer to ensure it’s up-to-date.
(Or maybe not. Hopefully someone else has relevant experience. At least updating the remote’s firmware is easy and usually low-risk.)

BRONZE MemberOver the years, I’ve caught my BR1 upgrading a few times. That’s sort of what I was thinking this could be… I happened to pick it up mid-upgrade so it aborted, and I was just getting very unlucky with the timing. I haven’t seen this happen for a couple days so maybe it has resolved itself (fingers crossed).
Finally, even though I live in one of the larger metro areas of the US (Chicago) my closest dealer is > 700 miles away so dealer involved solutions are generally a no go 🙁

BRONZE MemberI have noticed some similar behaving recently with my Beoremote One paired with my Beovision Theatre. The remote will just randomly reboot — even while I’m using it. This behavior is new — leading me to think it could be a bug in a recent firmware update.

BRONZE MemberI have the same problem with BR1 and Theatre.
It reboots for no reason, even while using the remote; at which point it wont work for about 3 minites.
ith new sets of batteries im down to 40% in 2 weeks

BRONZE MemberMy BR1 has had similar ‘sleep’ behaviour lasting for long periods. I suspect a poor electrical connection. After changing the batteries I eventually brought the BR1 back to life with sharp taps at the battery end of the remote.
