I recently dug out my late father’s Beomaster 5500 amplifier/tuner, Beogram CD50, Beogram 5500, Beocord 5500 & MCP 5500, which had been languishing unused in a box for ~15 years. I bought a pair of CX100 on eBay to replace the pair he used to have but can’t be found.
Anyway, with the help of the manuals on this site – and helpful comments from members – I have been able to resurrect the system and am thoroughly enjoying it. I _genuinely_ couldn’t have done it without this forum. I have bought many spares (belts / grommets / feet / bushes / capacitors etc) from beoparts-shop, who provide a first class service. All I now need to do is have the MMC4 cartridge looked at by audio-origin.
So, many thanks to all on here!
23 April 2023 at 19:03 #45970Nice set herrit! And really complete with the record deck and the mcp. This was the set my father in law bought (with BeoVox Pentas) that got me infected with the BeoVirus. Very much worth fixing, maintaining and using. Enjoy! Regards, Johan.

Nice set I prefer using with MC-120 speakers. -
