Beomaster 5 pointer not moving

Hi all,

I have a BeoMaster 5 from 2009 or so. I got the motherboard changed a few year ago but generally it has worked perfectly.

I do however now have an issue with the pointer, i.e. to choose music, album, artist etc. It is not really moving, I can turn the pointer itself, but on the screen there is nothing happening or if I am lucky it just flickers.

Any one know what could be the reason and how to make it work normally again?

Or another workaround?
