BRONZE MemberThis is the craziest thing. My Beomaster 2400 is suddenly turning itself off every time I turn it on. Instantly. If I press phono or tape or a radio channel it turns on for a half a second and then turns back off. I can even hear a radio station for a moment before it goes off again. It’s as if the O button is stuck, but it’s a touch surface so I don’t know how that’s possible. I have tried cleaning it. I took the batteries out of the remote. It’s still doing it. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. Same. Something has to be sticking somewhere or short circuited. It just happened after awhile of disuse.

ModeratorThere can be several reasons.
DC on an output – typically if solder joints are cracked the output stage transistors.
Bad switching IC – or oxide-shells between IC pins.
Problem with the standby touchpad sensor circuit.
Fault in a speaker or speaker cable. Try with no connected speakers/cables.Martin
