BRONZE MemberHi. I have inherited my father’s Beomaster 1400 and Beogram 1500 with a set of Beovox S45 speakers. The Beogram is broken so I paired a Technics SL-7 turntable to it and it is working fine. I am new to this so excuse my elementary question. My question is, is the Beomaster 1400 amp strong enough to add another set of S45 speakers or should I rather add a set of S30 speakers? Thank you

ModeratorIt will be fine with two pairs of S45.
If you go for Beovox S30, make sure they are type 6301 (the smaller ones).
And get that Beogram repaired. It’s a great deck, and much better looking than anything Technics.Martin

BRONZE MemberThanks Martin. Appreciate the feedback. The set of S30’s that I am looking at are the 6301’s but might just stick to the S45’s now that I know the amp can handle both pairs. The plan is definitely to fix the turntable in the near future.
Thanks again.
