Anyone have a suggestion on how to get my PC sound out to my ML room
im watching movies from pc in bedroom and I just need the sound to be integrated as a source
the beolink PC2 worked without the beosound 5. I did a workaround n music without putting anything on and th esound worked fine but now the n musik and n radio gets priority from Beomaster and there is no other source I can use on the beolink PC2
The only sound from the pc is are the front headphone jack output but i need it on my ML system.
so frustating. any help would be appriciated
my setup is
main room
Beosound 5 / beomaster 5 with my Beocenter 2 MK2 and beosystem 3 with beolink ir eye (options in each is also appriciated if someone can help)
bedroom
beolink pc2 / ML gateway / my PC / ML passive converter / 2 x beolab 2000
other link rooms
i have a some beolab 3500
3 beolab 2000
and another ML passive converter
another tv
ML/NL converter
beo 5 and beo 6 remotes
thank you all
7 December 2024 at 06:19 #61407Since you have the N.music and N.radio sources from the Beosound 5 you will not be able to use these sources from the Beolink PC2 as there can only be one of each source in a Masterlink system.
If I understand correctly the issue is because you use the 2 Beolab 2000 for sound in the bedroom?

I could just pause the n musik and the pc Sound would go through to my ml system but with bm/bs5 it won’t work

Ok so If I understand correctly you did not have the BM5/BS5 previously?
I am also unsure what you mean by ML passive converter? I this the Beolink Passive? If so what is that used for in the current setup?
Problem is that the Beolab 2000 speakers rely on a Masterlink source. There can only be one of each Masterlink source in a Masterlink system, so you can not have N.music and N.Radio from both the BM5/BS5 and the Beolink PC2.
One thing you can do is to make a separate ML network with only the Beolink PC2 and the Beolab 2000 speakers. That way you can not get the sound from the main room.
Another option would be to replace the Beolab 2000 speakers with other active speakers connected directly to the Beolink PC2. The Beolink PC2 should be setup as a Link room (option 6). That way you can both get sources from the main room and play the PC sound in the Bedroom. This however also require that the PC has to be on to be able to play the music from the main room.
10 January 2025 at 07:41 #62475Another thought that came to mind. You do mention that you have a NL/ML converter. If you get an extra one you can make 2 ML networks connected via. NL. that way you can decide which sources that should be available through the converters.
