BRONZE MemberHello everyone,
I’m experiencing a problem with my recently purchased BeoLab 8000 Mk1 speaker, which is connected to a BeoVision 7-55. The BeoLab 8000 switches to green when I turn the BeoVision on and switches back to red when I turn it off. However, no sound is coming from one of the two BeoLab 8000s; both were working fine last week. Switching the powerlink connectors and connecting them with differed outlets, unfortunately this didn’t change anything. I’ve now opened the defective BeoLab and discovered that there’s almost no foam left inside and that soldering has already been done due to a break in the circuit board. This is the MK1, so the black foam has already been removed, but no new white foam has been added. There are still remnants of the black foam here and there, so it hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Does anyone have any idea where I should look to find the defect?
This is my first time working with a speaker, so my knowledge is still limited.
Thanks in advance!
