Hello,
I saw there has been a similar question a while ago but unfortunately no answer. So I hope some of you experienced something similar and have been able to find a solution.
Both of my Beolab 8000 speakers have been displaying a weird behavior for a while now. They are connected to a streamer (node 2i) over the optical outlet. This set-up has worked quite well until a few weeks ago, since that point, once I pause whatever is playing on the TV they neither stay on nor off but always change between modes (see attached video). They are no pattern in them turning on/off, sometimes they change after a few seconds and sometimes after a couple of minutes.
Did anyone have similar experiences and know how to repair it?
Many thanks in advance!
Henry

Location: Netherlands20 January 2025 at 07:37 #62906Hey Gaea, thanks for your answer. As far as I know, the foam hasn’t been replaced yet. However, I wonder how the foam could have this effect. Isn’t the foam just the insulation?
20 January 2025 at 10:00 #62912The Foam starts to disintegrate and becomes a sticky goo that damages the PC boards causing a lot of issue and ultimately causing the speaker to stop working. Corrodes everything.
20 January 2025 at 10:46 #62916Then I will check for the insulation material first and see if that will fix the problem. Thank you so much.
