Hi,
i found this here in the forum:
Powerlink is an analog connection for sound, which means that the BL8 can be used with any Beomaster, Beosound, Beocenter that has Powerlink output port.
They then act as a source for the BL8’s – these are then just speakers.
In that case you are controlling the source device with its normal remote control e.g. a Beo4but i have an problem. Today arrived my beolab 8 as an stereo set. Everything is ok BUT the powerlink connection from my beosound 9000:to the powerlink port in bl 8 do not work. Need the bs 9000 for my CDs.
bs 9000 is in a.opt 1 and the beo4 works fine
Can anyone help me.
greetings
15 January 2025 at 02:55 #62662Hello,
You say your BL8s are configured as a stereo pair already in the BeoApp and you want to use the with a BS 9000 with Powerlink?
The first thing I would try is to remove any stereo pairing from each other, factory reset, update firmware and just connect the BL8s in powerlink mode. You may have to configure them L or R channel in the app – I don’t know if they physically select in the PL socket but I’m certain they don’t select with a toggle selector near the connection panel?
