BRONZE MemberHi everyone,
I’m using a pair of Beolab 50 speakers connected to a Beoconnect Core via USB. When listening to lossless music (Tidal or Spotify Connect), after about 30–40 minutes the speakers start producing crackling and static noises. The only way to fix it is to restart either the Beoconnect Core or the Beolab 50s, which restores normal playback for about an hour before the issue comes back.
I’ve contacted customer support — we changed the cables and did several firmware updates — but the problem keeps reappearing. It’s getting quite frustrating…
Has anyone experienced this, or have any ideas what could be causing it?

BRONZE MemberDirect USB connection from an iPhone to the Beolab 50s easily outperforms the Beoconnect Core. I’m honestly underwhelmed by the streamer’s performance.

BRONZE MemberIt’s frustrating when a dedicated (and pricey) piece of gear like the Beoconnect Core feels like a downgrade compared to a simple cable.
The difference might be because the direct USB connection allows for an asynchronous data transfer, letting the Beolab 50’s internal DAC handle the heavy lifting without the extra processing or network jitter the Core might be introducing.
