Jørgen Dreyer Hemmsen
BRONZE MemberHi,
How can I get the best sound out of my Beolab 5?
In my current setup, my Beolab 5s are connected to an Essence Mk2, but I would like to upgrade. I see two options:
1. Buy a Beoconnect Core and connect via Powerlink (as I understand that the Beoconnect Core does not have a digital output I can use with my Beolab 5s).
2. Buy, for example, a Bluesound Node (N530) and connect via coax to get a digital signal into my Beolab 5s, thereby using the internal DAC in the speakers.
Which option is best? And does anyone have experience with these two setups?
I would also appreciate any general comments or suggestions on how to achieve the best possible sound.
Thanks
Jørgen

BRONZE MemberI don’t know about the cables but people say the new Core sounds MUCH better than the Essence. Personally I say hook them up to a theatre 😉
