My pair of Lab 5s, when driven hard (say watching Top Gun:Maverick) both start flashing red after an hour or so – they are fine when used at normal listening levels.
the manual suggests that the temp sensor is cutting them out, but what I find odd is that both speakers disconnect and starts flashing at exactly the same time – it’s unlikely they are both at the same (hot) temperature at exactly the same time.
I suspect something else.. I haven’t calibrated them for quite some time as the room shape nd contents haven’t changed, and am loathe to do so as I hear there is a finite amount of times you can do this.
has anyone seen anything like this – I know a chassis change is possibly on the cards, but maybe there is a simpler fix for this odd behavior.

Say what? Is this really the case, that the calibration process has a limited number?? :O
