Dear all,
During electrical storm, I usually power off my Beolab 5, and after that, I re run the calibration.
Would you know if the Beolab 5 is able to recall the last calibration when power is off? Just wondering if it might be a dead battery I could change for those ma cases, but from what I see on electrical schematic, it is probably not such capability.
thanks!
8 June 2023 at 07:45 #47063The BL5 will keep its calibration in non-volatile memory.
The last time I read-up on this, the Mk1 BL5 could keep only 10 calibrations and needed a Dealer re-set to clear the 10 memory allocations and to be able to re-calibrate. i.e. dont do resets unless you are changing the sonic signature of your listening room. Whether this limitation was address by the MK2…..or whatever version, I am not sure?

i did a lot of reset as we had few electrical storm risk and I did not want to take any risk. I might have saturated the memory then as I have mk1.
Always impress by knowledge on this forum!
