Hi,
i’have bought a pair of Beolab 5 and for one for one of them I can’t complete the calibration. I starts, but then it stops and the led starts to flash green.
Any ideas what do?

2. When I had BL5s, they could only accommodate 10 calibrations before they locked up and needed a Service Engineer to clear the memory. I don’t know if this was Mk1, only or mk2?25 July 2023 at 00:15 #47752Flashes green only? Looks like it didn’t store the calibration parameters.
Could be a fault in a memory chip in the chassi.
25 July 2023 at 00:49 #47753Anyone knows if the IC304 is the responsible for storing calibration data?

How can I identify if the memory chip is broken? Is it possible to replace?

15 August 2023 at 07:31 #47756Hi again,
the investigation continues. I have tried to long press, nothing.
I did try to calibrate once more:
- The led starts to flash green
- The mic comes out
- Then nothing, no sound
- The mic goes back
- The led starts to flash red
Any genius that can help me?
15 August 2023 at 10:33 #47757Try to play the BL5. Does the lower woofer at the bottom vibrate while playing music?
15 August 2023 at 10:52 #47758Yes, all elements seem to work
10 January 2024 at 07:58 #47759I had the same problem on one of my BL5’s, i.e. the room correction initiated with mic coming out but then nothing more happened, just remained quite. However, the speaker did not seem to work at all, no sound when playing music either. A replacement of the chassis solved everything (approx 1500 euro).
