    Hello,

I recently bought a fabulous Beocenter 9500 and a pair of Beolab 3000.

The seller kindly included all cables and demonstrated the system to me – all in tip top working order.

I drove home and set up the BL’s as rears connected by the same supplied powerlink cables to my BV7.

A hum emitted from one speaker and no display action at all.

I connected the BL’s to the 9500 and they worked perfectly again.

I’m curious if the displays can work while connected to a BV because there isn’t a switch on the rear to select ‘audio’ or ‘video’.

I have experimented with 3 different cable types: 1 from B&O dealer in Canterbury (since closed) which was a fully wired cable I use normally to drive my Pentas. 2 from Steve at Sounds Heavenly – a fully wired cable I also use to drive my Pentas. 3 the cable supplied by the seller.

All 3 cables will send music and display data from the BC9500 to the BLs but I can’t get displays working from the Beovision.

One thing I have not yet tried is to daisy chain the Pentas and the BL 3000s and run them from a single PL socket on the BV.
    Would that even be possible?

If anyone can confirm if displays do or do not work with a BV7 that would be a start. Any other advice to help solve the problem will be gratefully received 🙂
