Quick question – the Beolab 3000, 4500 and 5000 panel speakers – is the amplifier/display unit the same for all three of these models, or do they differ?

The 4500 is an updated version of the 3000

    Look hereย https://beocentral.com/beolab4500

I am not sure if display colors are different like on the Pentas (yelllow vs green)

The displa colors are mentioned hereย https://beoworld.org/beolab-4500/

I guess the 3000 and 5000 share the same display

Ah, interesting, thanks.ย  Reason I ask, I’ve just bought a job lot that includes 1 pair of BL3000 and 2 pairs of BV4500, I was wondering if I should switch the amplifier component from the 3000s onto the 4500s, to make a pair of BL4500s instead.ย  Not sure it’ll be worth the bother though.

Also I’m colourblind , so the difference between yellow and green displays will be lost on me!

Maybe check if the speaker foam looks ok on both of them. But other than that probably no other reason than scratches and fabric wear that could be issues
