Ordered an extension cable for my Beolab 3 speakers which she t at the end other side of the room, (moved the tv so the cabled aren’t long enough now) but unfortunately its a MK2 cable going into the longer white MK3 cable

While it technically works when this extender is plugged in I get a little electrical buzz anytime the volume is adjusted via the Beovision TV.

Does anyone know what pin needs either removing or blanking off in order to stop this buzzing?

Other than this it seems to work fine. Failing this my second option is to order a longer EJ45 to Power link splitter from Steve I just ordered this extension quick off amazon though.

    Hi,

Sorry for the slow reply.  A correctly wired mk.2 cable shouldn’t cause this issue so I suggest contacting the cable seller to check what they have provided.

You can use this adapter and a Powerlink cable from the links below to give you a male to female Powerlink extension cable:-

    1) Adapter: https://soundsheavenly.com/products/powerlink-compatible-barrel-adapter-for-extending-cables-2-fully-wired-powerlink-compatible-sockets
    2) Cable: https://soundsheavenly.com/products/powerlink-mk-3-compatible-8-pin-din-cable-with-4-cores-wired-low-profile-cable

    Kind regards, Steve.
