    Hi all,

Does anyone have a service guide or guides to the circuit on a Beolab 14/Beoplay S8?

It’s an S8 with BL14 satellites at the rear. Back when they installed all the amps 5.1 (or connected them? when sold) I’ve checked the cables and satellites and it appears to be the amp for the Front Right satellite.

PCB 1 looks confusing as hell… lots of paste/glue around the capacitors, very difficult to read the traces on the board with so much…

They don’t make boards anymore to order, I have a backup 14 unused (which id like to keep it that way) but I’m not going to give up on this S8 just yet… Used my grandmothers inheritance to buy it back in the day, she loved music so means a lot to keep it going!

    Hi,

Maybe a little late, but for future reference on the topic if the amp isn’t working (apparently) or very faint sound, replace marked capacitors. Et voila, annoyed neighbors.

Very useful post – many thanks. Can a blown IC also take out a cap or two ? Jacob and I are currently experiencing no power after a blown IC. Heโ€™s on an S8, Iโ€™m running a Beolab 14.

    Thanks

    Jonny

Hi Dargo – there may be some info in this post which may help. Circuit diagrams etc no longer available.

Beolab 14 Sub – IC identification needed !

    Cheers

Any update on this? My S8 is still dead after replacing the same IC as Jonathan, and I don’t know what to check for.
