Hi
I have some long owned faulty Beolab 1’s.
posted about it and some pics in the Beolab tab but not sure if it gets seen there .got green lights and tweeter/mid works but both woofers not working and actual speakers are ok so it’s an amp problem .
Woofers would work after 10s or so warm up but then failed. Bought new powerlink cables and worked a few more weeks but now no woofers at all.trying to see if can isolate faulty component and change .
Can’t really spot any foam damage and visual inspection doesn’t reveal any obvious shorts or component failures .had an elec engineer do some basic testing of capacitors etc but he was bamboozled and reluctant to undertake repair as not experienced in this arena
anybody here point me in direction of typical areas to look . Had speakers since 2004 and didn’t really use them that much due to temperamental Beocentre 2 making it frustrating to use .
described more in detail in the Beolab forum tabthanks for any help 🙏
