JASON NEWTON
BRONZE MemberHello, I’m new to this channel, looking for help and community. I have purchased a one owner from new Beogram 5000. I contacted Steve at Sounds Heavenly who was very helpful providing me with the necessary cables and a PP400 pre-amp to connect to the phono inputs on my YAMAHA AV Receiver. The Beogram was purchased from eBay in the original box with the x3 screws locking down the plate for shipping. The record player powers up, and spins however doesn’t play. I was assured by the seller it worked, It does not. I’m not sure what to do. I have recorded x3 videos and uploaded to YouTube to see and hear the fault in action. I would very much appreciate some advice.
Thank you.

BRONZE MemberYou may have multiple problems, but one appears to be inadequate tracking force. Here is a link to the Soundsmith page that provides a very thorough description: https://sound-smith.com/how-balance-your-bo-tone-arm-and-set-proper-tracking-force.
