Beogram 3000 turntable type 5903 running too fast

I have a Beogram 3000/5903 which I am attempting to refurbish..   Got new belts, grease, suspension rubber, and have re-infused the bearings.   The turntable is running slightly too fast in both 33rpm & 45 rpm settings.   The trimming pots appear to be working but will not slow down the speed to get in spec. I hit the pots with detox in hopes that that would resolve the issue, but there was not improvement.   Would welcome any suggestions
