Hi, this is my first post and Iโ€™m new to the forum. My wifeโ€™s friend has the Beogram 2402 and said the arm is skating across the record. She hasnโ€™t used it for some time, has just tried to use it after a number of years and has had it since the mid 80โ€™s. Iโ€™ve never owned a B&O but I am familiar with turntables having owned a few in the past such as Linn and Michel, however, electronics and fettling are not my strong point.
I looked at some similar responses to the same problem on this forum so this afternoon Iโ€™m going to look at the stylus, check the tracking force by taking it back to zero and re setting it. I believe re lubing the lifting mechanism might help but as it isnโ€™t my turntable Iโ€™m reluctant to start taking it apart to access this. If having looked at it I canโ€™t fix it can anyone recommend a reputable company if she wants to get it working again.

Thanks in advance for your responses.
