BRONZE MemberHi, this is my first post and Iโm new to the forum. My wifeโs friend has the Beogram 2402 and said the arm is skating across the record. She hasnโt used it for some time, has just tried to use it after a number of years and has had it since the mid 80โs. Iโve never owned a B&O but I am familiar with turntables having owned a few in the past such as Linn and Michel, however, electronics and fettling are not my strong point.
I looked at some similar responses to the same problem on this forum so this afternoon Iโm going to look at the stylus, check the tracking force by taking it back to zero and re setting it. I believe re lubing the lifting mechanism might help but as it isnโt my turntable Iโm reluctant to start taking it apart to access this. If having looked at it I canโt fix it can anyone recommend a reputable company if she wants to get it working again. Thanks in advance for your responses.
